Zihin — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Zihin ("the Service") at zihin.engineer and the Zihin Bookmark Sync browser extension. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Zihin captures bookmarks you have already saved on sites you use, then scores, organizes, and surfaces them, and answers questions over your own saved content. Features are provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued.

2. Accounts

• You must provide an accurate email and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
• One person or entity per account unless otherwise agreed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; infringe others' rights; attempt to breach security, scrape, or overload the Service; resell or provide the Service to third parties; or use it to store content you have no right to store. You are responsible for the content you sync and for complying with the terms of the sites you capture from.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Zihin offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until cancelled.
• You can cancel any time via the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• Plan prices and tier limits may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes affecting an active paid plan.

5. AI features

Some features use large language models to summarize, tag, and answer questions over your content. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied upon as professional advice. AI actions run only when you initiate them.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you sync. You grant Zihin the limited licence needed to store, process, embed, and display that content back to you in order to provide the Service. We do not sell your content or use it to train third-party models.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time, which removes your associated data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk or legal exposure.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zihin is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits; and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
